The Peace List: Paul provides eight categories of thought that are guaranteed to produce peace. When you are feeling anxious, you must check your thoughts against this list. If your thought is fearful, impure, or ugly, it's destructive. If it is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, or admirable, it aligns with the Spirit and brings peace.
The Action: The instruction is to "think about such things." This is an active verb. It's not passive hoping; it's the disciplined, intentional dwelling of your mind on things that are excellent or praiseworthy. This choice is the spiritual lever that shifts your mind from the chaos of worry to the stability of God's truth.
Your daily peace is secured by disciplined concentration. You must proactively fill your mind with the excellent, leaving no vacant space for the enemy's destructive lies or the flesh's anxious worries.

If you look at your mental environment right now, is there a thought that is demonstrably untrue or unlovely? How can you consciously replace it with something excellent and praiseworthy today (a Bible verse, a good memory, or a character trait of God)?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I confess my mind’s tendency to dwell on the negative. I pray for the discipline to follow Your command. Help me today to actively fill my mind with all things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. May this intentional focus on the excellent secure my inner peace and guard my heart. Amen.
