Daily Steps

The world often tells us our value comes from what we do, what we have, or what others think of us. This can lead to a lot of anxiety and a constant feeling of not being good enough. We might believe that we have to be perfect to be loved.

But this verse tells us something different and deeply freeing. Our salvation and our identity are not based on anything we have done or can ever do. They are a gift from God, given to us through His grace and our faith in Jesus. This means your worth is not found in your performance, your perfection, or your popularity. Your worth is found in Christ.

You are loved and accepted not because you've earned it, but because He has given it to you. This truth is a powerful anchor for your soul, freeing you from the pressure to constantly prove yourself and allowing you to rest in the secure knowledge of who you are in Him.

Reflective Question:

What is one way you have been trying to earn your worth in the past? How can you rest in the truth that your identity is a gift from God today?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of salvation and for securing my identity in You. Forgive me for trying to earn my worth and for seeking my value in things other than You. Help me to rest in Your grace and to remember that I am loved and accepted because of Jesus. Amen.
