The River
of Life
Revelation 22:1-2
Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

The final image of the New Home (Day 213) provides the new believer with assurance of perfect, unending provision and spiritual vitality. This passage describes the source of eternal sustenance and health: the river of the water of life... flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

This final promise confirms the complete and total absence of all disease, sickness, and spiritual wounds. The restoration (Day 207) is permanent, securing total physical and spiritual peace forever.

If your deepest, most painful needs—your thirst and healing—are guaranteed to be met by the river of the water of life and the tree of life, what need are you trying to desperately fill today that you can simply entrust to God's future provision?

Heavenly Father, I praise You for the glorious provision of the New Heavens and New Earth. I thank You for the river of the water of life and the tree of life. I pray for the faith to rest in Your complete and perfect eternal sustenance. Secure my peace today by assuring me of the total healing and unending vitality that will flow directly from the throne of God and of the Lamb. Amen.
