of the Amen

He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.

As we generate this final, concluding entry for the devotional series, it is fitting to end with the very last recorded words of the Bible—a powerful declaration of Christ’s return and a final benediction of grace. This passage is the ultimate assurance of every promise made: “Yes, I am coming soon.”
The peace in this certainty is found in the final confirmation:
Christ's Final Testimony: The one who testifies to these things (the trustworthy and true promises of the New Home, Day 211) is Jesus Christ Himself, and His final word is absolute: “Yes, I am coming soon.” This promise validates all the hope (Day 225) and endurance (Day 224) of the believer. This is the unfailing assurance (Day 222) of the future.
The Believer's Response (Amen): The response is twofold: first, the word "Amen"—which means "So be it" or "It is true"—confirming the certainty of His promise. Second, the heartfelt cry: "Come, Lord Jesus." This demonstrates the active longing for His return that characterizes a faithful life (Day 216).
