Seal of Our Inheritance
Ephesians 1:13-14
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of His glory.

The Process of Inclusion: Our salvation began when we heard the message of truth and believed the Gospel. At that moment of faith (Day 254), two things happened: we were included in Christ (our ultimate identity, Day 288) and marked... with a seal—the Holy Spirit. This seal denotes ownership and protection.
The Guarantee of the Deposit: The Spirit is described as a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance. In the ancient world, a deposit was a down payment that secured the final purchase. The Holy Spirit is the living down payment, a divine assurance that the Father will fully deliver the promised new heaven and a new earth (Day 308) and our glorious body (Day 301).
The Goal is Glory: The entire sequence—from hearing the truth to receiving the deposit and securing the final redemption (Day 225)—is for one purpose: to the praise of His glory. This ultimate end should fuel our purposeful action (Day 274) and grateful devotion (Day 285).
