Agreement
Matthew 18:19-20
“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Having established the necessity of individual faith (Day 254), this passage introduces the tremendous power of corporate prayer. Jesus promises that when believers pray in harmony, their requests are met with special attention: if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the incredible power You grant to agreement in prayer. I confess my tendency to pray in isolation. I pray for the humility and sincere love to find believers with whom I can truly agree in purpose and faith. Secure my peace today in the certainty that when we gather in Your name, You are with us and will answer our united request. Amen.
