Jesus cried out because, for the first and only time in eternity, the spiritual fellowship between the Father and the Son was broken as Jesus bore the complete judgment for human sin.

David was forgiven not because his sin was minimized, but because his repentance was immediate, deep, and sincere. However, he still faced devastating, lifelong consequences for his actions.

The Ark was sacred because it represented the literal presence and throne of the invisible God among His people. It was the central point of worship and the means by which forgiveness was attained.
