Faith is believing without evidence — that’s just gullibility.
Biblical faith is not believing without evidence; it is acting in trust upon reliable evidence and the trustworthy character of God.
You only believe in God because you were raised in a Christian culture.
While culture may introduce us to God, the continuation of faith must be rooted in evidence, logic, and a personal, transforming encounter with Jesus Christ.
How could a loving God allow slavery in the Bible?
The laws concerning "slavery" in the Old Testament were not an endorsement of barbaric chattel slavery, but highly regulated laws governing indentured servitude designed to protect the poor.
Did dinosaurs exist, and where do they fit in the Bible?
Dinosaurs certainly existed. The question of where they fit in the Bible depends on one's interpretation of Genesis 1, though most agree they were part of God's original creation.

Belief in God is just wishful thinking — a psychological comfort.
While faith offers profound comfort, that comfort does not negate its truth. Christian belief is rooted in history and evidence, and often demands profound sacrifice that is the opposite of comfort.

Religion has caused wars, division, and oppression.
It is undeniable that people acting in the name of religion have committed horrific acts. However, the true fault lies not in the message of Christ, but in the abuse of power and human sinfulness.
The God of the Old Testament is cruel and violent.
The God of the Old Testament is the same God of the New Testament. His actions reveal not cruelty, but perfect justice applied to profound wickedness, balanced by extraordinary mercy.
