A Prayer for the lost

A person in a dark jacket walks alone on a vast, snowy landscape, leaving footprints behind. The scene conveys solitude and calm under a gray sky.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I lift up to you today all those who are lost and wandering, both physically and spiritually. You know each person by name, and you long for them to be found and brought back to you.

Please guide them along the right paths, and lead them back into the safety of your loving arms. Open their eyes to see the truth of your Word and the beauty of your love. Gently soften their hearts so they can receive your grace and forgiveness.

Send your Holy Spirit to draw them to yourself. Please use your people—use us—as simple tools of your love and mercy to reach out to them with compassion and kindness.

Protect them from the traps of the enemy and the distractions of this world. Surround them with your powerful presence. May they clearly hear your voice calling out to them, and may they respond with faith and a desire to follow you.

Thank you, Father, for your relentless pursuit of the lost and your deep desire for everyone to know you and experience the abundant life you offer. May your kingdom come, and may all who are lost find their way home to you.

In Jesus name, I pray.

Amen.
