The Final
Guarding
Jude 1:24-25
To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
Daily Steps
This final, triumphant Benediction brings our entire devotional journey to its glorious climax. It provides the ultimate assurance of eternal security (Day 297), confirming that the believer's final standing is not dependent on their ability to resist sin, but on the limitless power (Day 356) and faithful action of God our Savior. He is the one able to keep you from stumbling and deliver you to glory.
The peace in this principle is found in secured perseverance:
The Divine Keeper: The ultimate confidence is placed in him who is able to keep you from stumbling. This echoes the promise of guaranteed completion (Day 351). God, through His constant presence (Day 353) and power, actively guards and preserves the believer through all the trials (Day 337) and deceptions (Day 347) of this life.
The Ultimate Presentation: The goal is our glorious future: to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy. This is the culmination of our hope (Day 359)—to stand fully redeemed and justified before the Father, having received the ultimate restoration (Day 345) and the eternal reward (Day 344).
The Final Doxology: The appropriate response to this divine guarantee is unending praise: to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! This confirms Christ’s supremacy (Day 322) and focuses all gratitude (Day 358) and worship on the Trinitarian God (Day 357).
Your peace is secured by secured perseverance. Embrace Final Benedictions today by praising God for His power to guard you. Trust that the same God who saved you is able to keep you from stumbling through any difficulty you face, guaranteeing your ultimate presentation without fault and with great joy.
Reflective Question
If you knew with absolute certainty that God will present you before his glorious presence without fault, how would that final outcome change your attitude toward a current struggle or perceived sin that makes you fear failure?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I confess my fear of failing and stumbling on my Christian journey. I thank You that You are able to keep me from stumbling and to present me before Your glorious presence without fault and with great joy. I pray for the grace to live today with confidence and surrendered trust (Day 354). Secure my peace today in this secured perseverance, and to You be all glory, majesty, power and authority, now and forevermore! Amen.
