The Fullness of Joy
in His Presence
Psalm 16:11
You make known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.

This beautiful verse summarizes the essence of the new believer's hope and the ultimate source of their happiness. It affirms that all true, lasting joy is directly tied to a relationship with God: the fullness of joy is found only in Your presence.
The peace in this principle is found in ultimate fulfillment:
Guidance and Direction: The verse begins with assurance of guidance: You make known to me the path of life. God does not leave us to wander (The Lord Will Guide You, Day 179). He guides us through His Word and His Spirit, leading us on the path that avoids the snares of death (Day 233) and brings true purpose.
The Promise of Fullness: The central promise is immediate and absolute: You will fill me with joy in Your presence. Prayer
Heavenly Father, I praise You, the source of all joy and pleasure. I thank You that You make known to me the path of life. I pray for the spiritual hunger to constantly seek Your presence, where I know I will be filled with joy. Secure my peace today in the certainty of the eternal pleasures that await me, and let that hope strengthen me now. Amen.
