A Prayer For Courage
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before you now, and I feel a lack of courage. My heart is anxious, and my spirit is afraid of what lies ahead.
I pray that you would fill me with your Holy Spirit, which is not a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control ($2$ $Timothy$ $1:7$). Give me the strength to step out in faith even when I don't know the outcome.
Help me to remember that You are my refuge and my strength ($Psalm$ $46:1$). When I face challenges, let me not look at the obstacle, but at You, who is mighty and capable of doing all things.
Give me the courage to speak up for what is right, the courage to forgive when it's hard, and the courage to obey your voice when it asks me to do something difficult.
Thank you, Father, that you promise to be with me wherever I go. Because of Your presence, I choose to be strong and very courageous today.
